Tom St Denis
Managing Director
Tom brings over 20 years of experience in the legal information services market to his role as Managing Director of Legal Benchmarking Group (LBG). With a background in leading teams across commercial, operations, research, and content, he has a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
Having worked in both London and New York, Tom has a global perspective that informs his approach to overseeing the company's strategy and growth plan. He is focused on driving value creation and ensuring the company's continued success in delivering exceptional services to clients. Under his leadership, LBG is focused on increasing customer value, particularly through benchmarking subscriptions and awards products.
Tom spends his spare time helping to coach his daughters' softball teams and working on ambitious DIY projects around the house.
Nick Heath
Commercial Director
With a robust background in business strategy and a keen understanding of the legal landscape, Nick serves as the Commercial Director at Legal Benchmarking Group. He has extensive experience in market analysis and client relations, playing a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and expansion initiatives.
Having joined the business as a subscription Account Manager in 2010, Nick has maintained a passion for direct customer interaction ever since.
In his spare time, he can usually be found being chased around by his two young children, experimenting with creative recipes in the kitchen, or occasionally attempting overly ambitious projects in the garden.
Kit Carson
Global Head of Research & Event Operations
As Legal Benchmarking Group’s Head of Research and Events, Kit leads an international team responsible for providing law firms with a third-party assessment and accreditation of their capabilities. The team also offers business intelligence insights to better inform law firms’ business development strategies.
Previously, Kit was Director of Research and Analysis at Law Business Research and Head of Banking and Fintech at GlobalData.
Outside of work, Kit satisfies his creative spark through photography. When not in London, you can find him either in the mountains, be it hiking, wild camping or skiing, or following the Scottish Rugby team.
Ed Conlon
Head of Content, Insights & Events
Ed is Head of Content at Legal Benchmarking Group (LBG), where he oversees insights and analysis coverage on intellectual property, tax and financial law. Ed and his team focus on providing exclusive client, competitor, and market insights to our customers and contextualising data from our research.
Ed has a uniquely strong research and analysis background with over 13 years' experience covering specialised legal markets.
In his spare time, Ed enjoys opening the batting for his local cricket club and trying to keep up with his young daughter.
Katy Welch
Head of Marketing
Katy is a seasoned marketing professional leading a dynamic multidisciplinary team focused on customer engagement, lead generation, and enhancing brand recognition. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role at Legal Benchmarking Group.
Before assuming her current position, Katy held a variety of senior marketing roles across healthcare and financial services sectors.
Outside of work, you might find Katy horse riding through the countryside, skiing, or volunteering in her local community.
