Legal Benchmarking Group (LBG) is seeking a proactive and collaborative Senior Data Analyst to provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight across a range of data and research initiatives. This role is ideal for an experienced analyst who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to guide and develop junior team members, enhance data quality, and drive process improvements.
Senior Data Analyst will play a central role in maintaining the integrity and consistency of LBG’s data assets while contributing to strategic projects that shape our research outputs. This position offers significant scope for professional growth, allowing the successful candidate to expand their leadership responsibilities and influence as the team and product suite evolve.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor junior analysts to support workload distribution, skills development, and production quality.
- Ensure accurate and timely publishing of data across multiple research and product areas.
- Collect, clean, validate, and structure complex datasets using SQL, Python, and advanced Excel methods.
- Design and implement enhanced data validation frameworks and QA processes.
- Build and maintain automated processes to streamline recurring workflows.
- Support data modelling, reporting, and analytical projects across regions.
- Maintain documentation and SOPs for data workflows and operational processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Research, Marketing, Tech, Editorial) to resolve bottlenecks, improve processes, and enhance data quality.
- Act as the first point of escalation for data-related issues and operational challenges
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- 2–3 years of data analytics or data operations experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end data processes.
- Strong English proficiency and ability to interpret large volumes of information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- 0–1 year of experience in data cleaning, reporting, or analytics (internships count).
- Strong online research and data gathering skills.
- Fluent in English.
